229 Years of Service
For 229 years we have answered the call.
We have responded to disasters.
We’ve searched for people in distress.
We’ve saved people, we’ve saved animals, especially our marine life.
We’ve protected and defended our homeland.
We’ve kept drugs from entering our country.
We’ve broken through the ice to get food and supplies to our ports.
We’ve boarded vessels to make our waters safer.
We’ve shielded our ports, our waterways, and our Marine Transportation System.
We are ready. We are relevant. We are responsive.
Thank you U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Shannon Kearney for the video!
