An A10 Warthog “Blacksnakes” pilot from the 163rd Fighter Squadron, 122nd Fighter Wing, Fort Wayne, Ind., performs a Close Air Support mission during Operation Guardian Blitz, at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.
Operation Guardian Blitz provided training opportunities to practice our core skills of Close Air Support, Forward Air Control and Combat Search and Rescue in a joint environment. The A10 Warthog Blacksnakes of the 122nd Fighter Wing and our 163rd Fighter Squadron constantly train to ensure our members are always prepared to defend the nation.

Blacksnakes Train to Strike
A10 aircraft, crew and support personnel from the 122nd Fighter Wing traveled to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona, for Operation Snowbird, an exercise at the Total Force Training Center. They participate in various training scenarios during the day and into the evening.
